Action Newmarket was established in 2006 as a satelite stadium to Action central in Mt Roskill. In 2013 the Newmarket Stadium closed as the site was to be demolished to make way for high rise offices. The search commenced for a suitable new location which proved a difficult assignment. Finally in August 2020 a new site has been secured with an anticipated opening date of March 2021.
These new facilities located at Khyber Pass Road, Newmarket Auckland, will include 4 international sized playing courts 2 courts will be designated for Basketball and Indoor Football/Futsal on a traditional wooden sprung floor and two courts for Indoor Cricket and Netball to be played on our normal astroturf surface. There is to be a fully licensed bar and kiosk. The Lounge area for after match entertainment is where you will be able to enjoy a drink with friends and watch all the big sporting events on the SKY Big Screen., Each court will offer spectator seating together with toilets, showers and changing room facilities. There is ample under cover parking on site.
Professional staff will use our state of the art technology and sports management software ensures your leisure time experience is enjoyable. We cater for graded competitions for Men’s, Womens, Mixed, and Junior Teams across all sports as well as offering one off events such Sports Birthday Parties, Corporate Events, Casual Court Hire and Group Bookings!
Action Newmarket will not host Inflatable World, Action Central will be the only venue in Central Auckland that will continue to host the Inflatable World Playground for Child Birthday Parties and is also available for casual walk-ins and for After Hours Private Hire.
